The Yellow Skull is a villain featured in Naked Man Comics. Frustrated graphic design teacher, Jay Grumblebutt, strikes back at society as the villainous Yellow Skull. Armed with a handgun and fueled by McBuggies double burgers, The Yellow Skull is the most dangerous of all villains.
Creation and concept
The Yellow Skull was created by Illya King. The character was originally conceived as a nerdy computer obsessed villain named Geoff. The character changed to a skull hooded villain in Totally Naked Man Red and Blue.
Influences
The color scheme for The Yellow Skull is based on Skeletor, from Masters of the Universe. [1]
Publication History
Comics and Comic Books
The Yellow Skull appeared in the webcomic, Totally Naked Man Red and Blue, in May 2012. The prequel was released at the same time as Naked Man Comics #1. The Skull’s secret identity had a cameo in Issue #1 as the man who flooded a toilet.
In Naked Man Comics #4, Totally Naked Man and friends, along with The Extreme Factor Five, are teleported to the planet Fabulon. The heroes meet Prince Dan and Bazooka. Prince Dan is really Man-Man the Barbarian. The villains meet Turtletor, scourge of villainy. Turtletor has captures an all-powerful Share Bear. The next part of Turtletor’s plan is to capture Skycloud Castle. He enlists the help of The Extreme Factor Five to do so. Man-Man and the heroes make the epic climb to Skycloud Castle. The villainous cabal also arrives. The heroes and villains fight. Turtletor is revealed to be The Yellow Skull. The Yellow Skull created a portal to Fabulon and quickly rose to power. Because the heroes are on Fabulon, Turtletor flees back to Earth. Man-Man brings the heroes to Hawk Witch, who provides a way back to Earth. Upon the heroes return, the Share Bear turns into a stuff bear (which Zetaman gives to a homeless kid).
The Yellow Skull had cameos in Issue #5 and #6. In Naked Man Comics #9, The Yellow Skull robs Peterson’s and fights Totally Naked Man with a pot of honey.
In Totally Naked Man the Coloring Book, The Yellow Skull robs Margulis Jewelers. Totally Naked Man tracks the villain down to the Rose City State University. The Yellow Skull is about to become the fourth member of The Agents of S.H.A.Q.. Totally Naked Man and Extremely Conservative Woman stops the villain.
In Totally Kodachrome, The Yellow Skull has stolen pies from some Rose City Bakeries. Totally Naked Man chases the villain until The Yellow Skull reaches Maywood Park. Maywood Park is a small town within Rose City. Because The Yellow Skull cross city limits, Totally Naked Man is compelled not to continue his pursuit. Instead, Totally Naked Man decides to find a new hero for the enclave. After a hero signup in Rose City Park, Ms Max, the Mighty Marvel, is chosen to stop The Yellow Skull. Ms. Max pursues the villain. However, The Yellow Skull has romantic intentions for Ms. Max. She quickly arrests the villain. Afterwards, Ms. Max decides not to join The New Alternates because she feels Totally Naked Man is too fat.

The Yellow Skull is not allied with any villainous group. He occasionally will team up with other villains. The Yellow Skull’s main adversary is Totally Naked Man. He also dislikes Zetaman due to creative differences. Zetaman had one of Skull’s YouTube videos banned for copy write infringement.
